Christy Bates is a mom of 2 and has been taking aerial classes for 8 years. She was initially looking for a hobby during motherhood, fell in love and never stopped! She did her first aerial competition in 2019 at 33 years old. Since then, has placed 2nd in two categories. In between that, she co-opened Scissortail Flying Company, LLC to perform at events and festivals here in the metro. Teaching what she knows is a passion in life and in the summer of 2024 she decided to share that knowledge by becoming an aerial coach.
